It is essential to pause and count your blessings and be thankful for what is in your life. How often are you taking stock and spending a moment to appreciate the simple things you maybe taking for granted?
Developing a life full of gratitude is similar to developing any other habit.
Practice, Practice, Practice!
An easy way to do this is with your meals, or anything you put into your body, drinks, snacks etc.
Try pausing for ONE breath before you eat or drink, look at the food or the drink, get in to a sense of gratitude, you can silently or loudly say “I am Thankful for this..”
Or simply acknowledging it and feeling grateful is also Okay!
Another way you can get into a sense of gratitude is by thinking about the sources of the food, the farmers, truck drivers, the family members or restaurant chefs and anyone else in between who played a part in getting the food from the farm/soil to your plate!
Remember, food is just one example, you can practice this with any thing else, like relationships with people, your modes of transport, your clothes, weather and even the air you breathe!! The list is truly endless.
The key part of this is integrating gratitude into your daily life so it eventually becomes something you do automatically!
Be prepared to be surprised at what you will start to experience once you make practicing gratitude a part of your daily life!
