Great advice in the below youtube video regarding three helpful tools to help anyone change negative habits.
1. Promise someone you Love and/or Respect
For example a mentor/partner/spouse/child/friend.
2. Fear
For example: Your doctor says your at risk of dying soon or you can’t pay your bills due to the financial toll from your habit.
3. Greed
For example: If someone promises you a $1,000,000 for you to change your habits, you will have more motivation.
These are helpful tools for anyone at the beginning of their decision to change or quit a habit.
However these are all EXTERNAL tools/methods, in the long run, real change depends only on YOU.
You cannot do it “for” anyone or anything else.
You need to do it “for” YOU and you only.
Anything else, although temporary helpful, is not sustainable.
You can and SHOULD try any new method or means you come across in your own life. Not trying to discourage any of that! Because, without trying different ways to curb or quit your addictions or negative habits, you will not find out what works for you and what does not.
